Understanding the International Marketplace Duration: 12 Weeks
UCCBT’s Understanding the International Marketplace offers students a more focused approach to the marketing, financial and general employment strategies used in today’s business world. Students will learn the importance of market research, consumer trends, promotional trends, as well as basic accounting theory, and the structure of the Canadian economy.
Each course will develop student’s analytical skills, as well as their understanding of how the global market place functions and caters to changing consumer trends.

- The Theory and Culture of North American Marketing
- Analyzing North American Finances
- Developing Research and Persuasive Skills in English
- Advanced English Writing Skills
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to enroll at UCCBT:
Grade 12 or Equivalent or Mature Student Status (at least 18 years of age)
Passing score on the UCCBT Entrance Examination.
For students who were educated in a country where English is NOT the official language, students must meet the following criteria:
TOEFL score of 557/220/83 and/or a TOEIC score of 750+ (or equivalent).
Transcripts of at least one year of post-secondary education (if applicable). Certified copies of transcripts must be sent to and be evaluated by UCCBT.
For students who transfer from Study English in Canada (SEC) the following criteria must be met:
Successful completion of SEC Level 7 or higher (or equivalent).
